Valentines and Love

    I was going about my week, and had a great match of Curling in my Curling league at the Utah Olympic Oval, where we actually won a match, lol, and then getting ready for the Super Bowl. (Go Rams!!!) Anywho, my 14 year old nephew, Carson, sent me a text asking if he could interview me for a school project he has to do. He said, it's only one question, and I said, Okay, and he asked "What is love to you?" I thought about it for a minute and then this was my reply.

    " To me, love is a feeling and an action. When you love someone, it's unselfish, and because of the way you feel, you act in a way to make that person, or group of people, happy and cared for, whether it is something you want or not. It's also accepting that everyone has personal defects, and aren't perfect, even you, but you still care deeply for that person, or group of people, and let them know you feel that way by the way we treat them."

    I'm not saying that my answer is profound or incredibly inspiring, but that was my answer. I think that Valentines Day sucks when you are single, but instead of focusing on the love I'm not receiving from a significant other, I can let my family and friends, and all of you, my readers, that I love you all and appreciate everything you have done for me, and the friendships I have with you all is something I cherish, and it helps me get through rough days. I really mean that, so in this way, All of you can be my Valentine this year, if you want it. 

    Anyway, I know this post was short. It was just a little thing I wanted to share, and I am wanting to sign off and watch the Olympic Curling events and Snowboard Cross. I hope you are safe. Get the vaccine and booster. I have, and still caught a small case. It felt like a little head cold, but I had it, so we aren't out of the woods yet, even if you have had the shots. Trust me, you will want them. I truly believe that I didn't get really sick because I had the shots. If you don't want them, that's your right to choose, and I will not judge, but stay safe.
