FFF

So, a few years ago, I started a film critic podcast called The Reel Perspective. I had it for a couple of years, but it's been a long time time since I actually recorded a podcast for it. Since then, someone started a podcast with the same name, which was kind of annoying because a simple google search brings up my name and logo for it. It is also the name of my critic column in the newspapers that I write for, so I've  been trying to think of what to do about it.

After emails sent out to the newspapers, I decided to change the name of my column and start a new podcast for my film reviews. I am here in this post to reveal my new column and podcast name......

I want to thank my good friend Brady for helping me come up with something fun. I also feel that with the title of The Freaking Film Fanatic, it will allow me to add a little attitude and sarcasm in my reviews. I started reviewing films in print in 2007. Some of my favorite reviews that I have written these past 13 years have had sarcasm and humor added. For example, When I reviewed the second Transformers film, I said that the screenplay was probably written by two 13 year old boys going through puberty and a blindfolded chimpanzee with a pencil in his teeth.

I have had this idea for a while, but now that movie theaters are starting to open up and offer screenings of new films that are also being released as Video on Demand, I decided it's time. I have a couple of podcasts recorded and have a list of movies coming out soon that I am excited to review. I'm looking forward to it.

I promise that I will get my Moab trip blog post up soon. I really want to sift through all of the pictures, find the best ones and crop them and what not. I have some great ones. At least great ones with Elliot. We had a blast, and I'm excited to share the memories with all of you.

Well, it's late, and I am tired. I will post a blog when my new Freaking Film Fanatic Podcast drops. I'm grateful that I have things to keep me busy during the quarantine. I need to stay busy while I am missing Elliot. I hate that he is so dang far away now. It's hard to have the person you love the very most living so far away with minimal contact.

I really hope that you are all staying safe during this pandemic. I know that I close all of my blog posts the same way, but the pandemic is kind of everyone's life right now. Please stay safe, wear your masks, and be smart. I will be posting a new blog soon. Thank you for keeping up with me and my life by reading my posts. I love you all.

Uncky Nate, Out!
