It's Been A While....An Update!

I feel bad that I haven't written anything in a few weeks. The last post was about the first place I lived: Part One. I fully intend to continue that post series. I have been busy since I have Elliot here visiting me for some of his summer vacation. We have been to a few movies, obviously. We went to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which I think is the best movie of the summer, although I loved Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning: Part: One, ( So many colons in that title!), The Flash, and Indiana Jones: and the Dial of Destiny, all of which I enjoyed quite a bit. We also attended the Haunted Mansion critic screening together, as well as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. They were both a lot of fun too.

We've been to some Bees baseball games, and when we go to California, we are going to an Angel's vs. The Giants at Angels Stadium, which if very close to Disneyland where we will be for three days, but not before going to Universal Studios to go to Super Nintendo World. I am looking forward to the trip, but kind of dread it because I have to fly Elliot home to Kansas straight from California.

We have also been playing some video games and watching movies at home. We have been playing some basketball on the side of our house. We have been building a few Lego sets. It's just been a lot of fun.

Besides that stuff, I haven't been very busy doing anything else unless it's a critic movie screening, and I have been letting Elliot go visit his cousins on his mom's side of the family, because if I didn't share him with them, he wouldn't get to see them very much, if at all. We have been reading a lot of comic books and stuff. It's fun because Elliot really enjoys a lot of things that I love and enjoy, and it makes our time together special. Comics are a thing where there are a lot of great superheroes for kids, as well as other genres, but as an adult, reading the old stuff to understand a character, or the artwork and how comics were written a long time ago, as opposed to now. There are also a ton of comics just meant for adults and older teenagers. Usually comic books are looked at as a kids thing, but they are as diverse as books and films. I am wanting to do a few blog posts about some of those comic book series' that are for teens and adults.

We have also been out Geocaching a lot. we have found at least ten, which brought our total find to 81, which isn't a whole lot from other people who do it all of the time. Elliot and I would do it all of the time if he lived here, and I know how much he loves and enjoys geocaching with me. We even hid our second geocache for others to find, and after six days, we have already had three people/families find our new cache, which is fun and exciting to know when people have enjoyed doing something that Elliot and I love to do together. The only issue is the heat has been pretty bad lately, so we have to go geocaching in the evening, but that limits the amount of time we can actually look for caches. Anyway, we love it, and that's about the extent of our adventures up to this point. I just hate how dang fast the time is going.

I have also been teaching some Learn to Curl sessions at the Utah Olympic Oval. It's a great way to get out of the really hot temperatures we are experiencing here in Utah this summer. It was kind of funny, I was on my way to teach a curling group, and I went into a store to get a bottle of water, and I had four different people ask me why on this green earth am I wearing sweatpants and a thermal undershirt, which led me to tell them about the curling stuff. Two of those people had absolutely no idea what I was talking about, lol.

Anyway, I have also bought some new board games for Elliot and the rest of my family and friends to play. I want to do a review for one of them, but I will do it in another post.

Well, that's what I have been up to since my last post. I will get back to talking about the different places I have lived in my lifetime. If you haven't read my first one, it's just a post or two back from this one. I feel bad that I haven't written and posted a blog post for a month. I've just been busy.

Well, I hope you are all doing well and having a great summer with your families and friends, and I will post another blog post here in a couple of days.

Have a good whatever time of day, or holiday, it is!
