Okay, it's been a long road, but we have come to number 30 on the 30 Song Challenge. I am glad and sad in a way. It will be nice having all new content without having to request a song, but I am thinking of doing a 30 Movie Challenge, so we will see what happens. So, here we go....
"A favorite song from a musical."
I can't think of a better song to end this challenge with. I saw this musical a few years ago, and I absolutely love it. I loved the original bibliography and the Steven Spielberg film by the same name. This song is near the end when young Frank Abagnale Jr. tries to turn himself in without getting into trouble, which was impossible. I loved the song so much that I learned how to play it on my guitar, and I have a plan to make a video of me performing the song, and then have the video played at my funeral. The lyrics are so applicable to the story, and also accepting death and telling everyone goodbye one last time. The video I linked has the lyrics in the video details on YouTube. Check it out, it's amazing!
Okay, so there is a movie theater chain in Utah that is open. They aren't playing any new films, but they have been showing classic films and other well liked films as well. I haven't seen the first Wonder Woman film since my summer of 2017 critic screening for the film, so I didn't remember a lot of it, and Elliot had never seen it, so earlier this afternoon, we went to the movies and saw Wonder Woman. It was kind of strange. Usually when you walk into a theater, there are posters and big cardboard stands showing off what movies are coming out soon and when, and the only thing hanging up was a Mulan ad above the ticket booth. It was almost like walking into a deserted building.
We also had to buy tickets online. Ticket sales weren't available at the theater. We had to wear our masks, but they did sell popcorn and drinks, but they gave us a huge paper sack filled with popcorn that we had to dump into our popcorn bucket that we have ourselves, and the drinks had to be filled up with disposable cups that we then poured into our mugs. It was annoying, but it was so great having official movie theater popcorn, which I love so much, and had a Raspberry Coke, that was so delicious. I forgot how much I love going to the movies and how great the popcorn and Raspberry Coke was. I was definitely taking that experience for granted. We were able to remove our masks once we were sitting in our theater. There were only two other people there, and they were sitting really far away from us. The theater made sure that the six feet social distancing was in effect. Elliot and I had a great time.
So, I will be heading down to Moab, Utah for a few days. I will take my laptop and try to post blogs with pictures of what Elliot and I do. We are so excited to go. Elliot has never been down there, and he is super excited. I will try to post pictures and blogs. If not, I will blog once I'm home, but I will see what I can do.
Well, That's it for now. I hope you are all staying safe! Wear your masks, be kind to everyone, and I hope to have more blog posts quicker in the future. Thanks for reading....
Uncky Nate!
