What I've Been Into During The Quarantine (May 2nd, 2020)

This quarantine has been going on for almost eight weeks, so things can tend to get old fast. Are you in need of new entertainment? Here is what I have been into the past week. I have links provided for everything if you are wanting to purchase things that might interest you!

Usagi Yojimbo (Comic Book)

Usagi Yojimbo is a comic book title that I bring up often. Author Stan Sakai, a Japanese-American, always wanted to create a comic book with stories of the Samurai. He had the stories, but didn't care for his artwork with human characters. One day he was doodling and drew a rabbit with his ears tied up like a Samurai bun, and that was all he needed.

The stories are more serious than not, but there are some stories that have some great subtle humor, and every once in while a great belly laugh. The stories are so neat, and although the comic has run from 1985 to the present, the stories and artwork never cease to amaze. Usagi has also crossed over with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a few times, and there is even an episode of the TMNT's Nickelodian TV show that features Usagi, Season 5, Episode 7, entitled "Yojimbo"

Usagi is a ronin who lost his master as a samurai, and so he wanders the land and helps when people are in need. Sometimes he teams up with others, but he prefers to wander alone. It's one of my favorite comic titles of all time.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Nintendo Switch Video Games)

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is super addictive, and easy enough for everyone in the family!
The idea is, you buy a house that is placed on a small map, and you walk around with your little villager avatar, and collect things from fruit, bugs, fish, seashells, wood, and trade them for money to buy things that help you design your house and yard, as well as the way your villager looks, and cool things to collect to spruce up your house, museum, and stores. It's easy to lose a lot of time in this game.

Also a game you can lose a lot of time in is The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Awaken one again as Link and discover all of the dungeons, recipes, contraptions, and weapons to fight evil in the land of Hyrule. This game is one of the most popular games on the Nintendo Switch, and for good reason. This game is a little tougher for smaller kids to play, but if you are around ten and older, this game is great. It's one I play for a little while, take a break from that game and play other ones, but always come back to it eventually. It's an amazing adventure game that needs to be played to believe!

Well, that's about it for this week. Don't worry!  I will be back soon with other blog posts. Check back soon!
