Lazy, Lazy, Lazy!

Wow, okay, it's been a few days since I have sat down to post something. I wasn't sleeping much, and so I was feeling sick, and just needed a couple of days to rest and feel better. For those of you who don't know me so well, I have an extreme case of crippling insomnia, so yay!, Lucky me!

So, continuing on with my "Song of the day" thing, here is my next song.

Song 12, A song from my pre-teen years: U Can't Touch This! by M.C. Hammer.

I was so into old school hip hop rap when I was that age...back when it was actually worth listening to. I know that Rap and R&B are popular with the "Millennials" reading this post. I guess I liked it better when there were creative artists that recorded and performed songs that didn't involve tons of help from fancy computer programs to make people sound okay. Back then, you had to have talent and the smarts. If you came across the word "Damn" in a song, that was the worst it got. I know now that censorship is something that sounds restricting, and is disregarded among all types of media these days, but with that restriction came some AMAZING talent. Having to work around censors was something that true artists were capable of. In fact, in the OGs of hip hop rap had restrictions, and they got away with stuff without being so blatant.

Also, here is a link to a YouTube video of me as a ten-year old dancing to M.C. Hammer in our living room. It might explain A LOT! It sucked, but hey, I was ten and thought it was the coolest thing!

That was my "Old Man Rant". I do have to give credit where credit is due for today's "artists" because there ones out there, but back then, people didn't have to act like a degenerate or a stripper, or both, with computers to be a famous musician.

Okay. for the rest of my post, I wanted to share a quote that I came across that I wanted to share.

"Much of life's information is irrelevant after a week!"

There are so many things that us, as humans, have to live and adapt to that don't always happen the way you want them to, and that causes so much stress....in the moment. I've decided not to use this blog as an avenue to share my problems with everyone that aren't negative towards others. Doing so would only take me down to their level, and I choose to find the good things in people, other than bad. It's hard sometimes, but it's a better way to live. Trust me.

Sometimes things happen, BIG THINGS, and they may take a while to get over, but everyday after the initial news of something happeneing, even the next day's information, usually isn't as worse as the time you found out whatever it is that is ailing you. Things develop fast because life seems so random at times. Something someone does that you have no thoughts or control over of makes a decision, based on their current troubles and situations that change to course of our own lives. We just need to accept the facts and the truths, and work on being a better person, making better decisions that the people before us have made.

Anyway, I hope some of you found this blog enlightening. I hope there are still readers out there who still like to check out my ramblings and posts as a crazy person trying to get along in this crazy, crazy world we live in!  I wonder what ever happened to my Parachute Pants!
